Our Client, an innovative CPG manufacturer has retained us to source an experienced Supply Chain Planner with 5 years of experience and a proven track record delivering value to Supply Chain and Operations departments. This newly developed role which supports an innovative new product line will be responsible for leading and delivering results in the areas of cost, productivity, efficiency, reliability, and customer service as they relate to the supply chain pipeline.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure continuous improvement in the business processes supporting the planning and delivery of finished goods to the customer including proactive communication, root cause analysis, and resolution of stock outs.
- Develop and support inventory management strategies through safety stock analysis, lead time minimization, inventory projections, visibility, ownership and action planning.
- Monitor, compare and update plant overhead standards including developing crewing, change over time, lot capacity, machine speeds and material yields for budget purposes.
- Highlight issues that require action planning, identify and resolve forecast variances and recommend improvements.
- Involved in new SKU launches, rollout and growth plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in a consumer goods manufacturing environment, preferably in a Logistics/Supply Chain Operations or Procurement role
- Strong leadership, analytical and technical skills
- Customer focused, drive for results
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, short lead-times and adjust priorities in a professional manner
- Detailed and organized
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in SAP, JD Edwards or similar Enterprise Systems
- Proficient in MS Office Products with a strong focus on EXCEL and knowledge of Access Database
