MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Our client, a key player within their expertise in the CPG industry is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. This organization represents both national & international branded companies across North America through retail and foodservice channels. This newly created role is a result of continuous growth. Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost effective solutions, processes, engineering support and products in a timely manner, through personal execution of process and product development duties, as well as through coordination, and facilitation of others. 
  • Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures in a Lean 5S environment.
  • Develop & support improvement plans by working with Production to analyze and identify productivity, delivery, quality& material handling improvements as required to support growth; recognizing the position as a technical support service with a strong internal customer focus.  Manage projects with formal plans, employing distinct milestones, metrics, and timeliness while leading cross-functional teams.
  • Initiate, coordinate and execute capital programs per corporate policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development, communication & implementation of major building & property projects.
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement and problem solving teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment utilization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years engineering experience in a commercial/CPG manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or equivalency.
  • Ability to adapt, multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management and scheduling skills.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement with a high degree of motivation and drive.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
  • Able to take direction from multiple members of the leadership team and prioritize
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel
