DIRECTOR SECURITIES OPERATION
Mississauga

Our Client an entrepreneurial, leading edge Wealth Management Company, has retained our service to source a strategic and dynamic Director Securities Operations to manage their back-office processing and administration department.  This position has been newly designed to leverage their current and future growth plans and we are looking at a candidate who is a specialist on IIROC.

MANDATE:

The Director Operations, managing locally and engaging globally will head the dealer securities operations group in providing accurate and efficient administration, processing and service support for their financial advisors and their teams. The services provided, meet top-notch service standards and expectations delivered through the leverage of technology where possible to enhance operational efficiencies and service standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the Operations Groups including conducting the performance management process and providing input for staffing and professional development
  • Manage and develop staff to effectively administer operations activity on a multi-divisional basis.
  • Manage technology solutions and project development for operational processes on a multi-divisional basis.
  • Develop and continually enhance operational metrics to allow management to assess and react to performance of business operations.
  • Manage development and maintenance of operational process and related documentation to ensure corporate standards are delivered and maintained.
  • Effectively manage business-outsourcing relationships (supplier, technology, process, etc) to ensure consistent application of corporate service standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A University degree or equivalent
  • Completion of CSC
  • A minimum of 5 – 10 years of tactical and strategic experience, leading back-office operations within a recognized financial services company with excellent working knowledge of IIROC regulatory environments and operational processes.
  • IFIC Investment Fund course and in-depth knowledge of investment fund management concepts and fund administration
